  • In it to win it. WB is planning on re-releasing “Dark Knight” in January as a little reminder to Academy voters. Guess they really want that little guy Oscar real bad.

  • Keep ‘em coming, New Line. The duo that brought, or will bring I should say, the film adaptation of “He’s Not That Into You” will next up bring Liz Tuccillo’s (who co-authored “Into You”) best-selling novel “How to Be Single” to the big screen. Flower Films‘ Nancy Juvonen and Drew Barrymore to produce, setting Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn to adapt. The book was barely released in June, but “with the strong boxoffice performance of “Sex and the City” earlier this year and “Into You” to be released by New Line/Warners Feb. 6, 2009, New Line is hoping to keep it’s female-skewing rom-com streak going with “Single.” Factoid: Tucillo created “Related” for the WB, and was a former “Sex and the City” writer.

  • Everyone wants a piece of this Mother! “With offers coming in from Tribune, Fox, CBS and a handful of other cablers and distributors, the Twentieth TV-produced sitcom, “How I Met Your Mother“, could fetch up to $350 million for the first go-around in 2010.”

  • Diane Ruggiero doesn’t want a piece of “The Ex List” anymore. The original creator/executive producer of the new CBS (20th Century Fox TV produced) series left on account of creative differences with the network.
